NORDIC WALKING |
|
Every Tuesday, we
organise half-day Nordic Walking courses with an INWA certified
instructor.
Nordic Walking is a new sport which is rapidly gaining in popularity
around the world.
From its homeland in Finland to Australia, and from China to United
States, the sport now counts millions of enthusiasts. It is in fact
the fastest growing sport today, and the greatest Finnish invention
since the sauna!
Nordic Walking consists in walking (but also running, jumping and
performing exercises) with sticks specially developed for the sport.
It is a natural and highly effective way of improving the condition
and muscle tone of the entire body and is suitable for men and women
of all ages and in any state of fitness. It is also fun, relaxing
and inexpensive. |
|
The three levels of Nordic Walking -
wellbeing, fitness and sport - offer skill levels and exercises for
all degrees of physical fitness.
From a calm, therapeutic walk to a good aerobic workout and even
specific training exercises for athletes.
By using the right techniques, Nordic Walking uses approximately 90%
of the body’s muscles in a smooth, balanced, symmetrical and natural
way, offering all the benefits of complete exercise.
By practising Nordic Walking, you can:
burn 20 to 40% more calories than would walking normally;
tone the entire body;
improve your physical condition naturally and safely while having
fun;
release tension and alleviate shoulder and cervical pain;
improve you posture and body control;
prevent and cure back problems;
enjoy many other benefits for a better sense of wellbeing.
